Hello my wonderful friends.  I am happy to announce that Beth Daane Photography is participating in the International Charity Model Search to select North America’s Cutest Kid and to raise funds for the non-profit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation. (NILMDTS.org)  You may recall that this is an organization that is near and dear to my heart and I have been a volunteer with them for quite some time. 

 

So tell me… Is your child North America’s Cutest Kid? We’ll give you the opportunity to prove it! The grand prizewinner will win a $2500 savings bond, a $2500 travel package, and a $100 Target gift card. The second and third place runners up each will win a $500 savings bond and a $100 Target gift card.

Our February 12th and 13th  Model Search Special:

For a $15 entrance fee it will include a 10 minute model studio session, a facebook file and one image submitted to the international gallery.  Additional portraits will be available for purchase at special event pricing with a portion of the proceeds going to NILMDTS. 

Finalists will be determined by online votes. Each vote is $1 (no limit on the amount of votes you can cast), and all proceeds from votes benefit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS.org). Every family member who registers their information on the Charity Model Search Website will also receive 1 complimentary vote. The top 5 paid votes, and the top 5 complimentary votes in each region will move on to the final judging round for a total of 50 finalists.

Grand prize international winner and runners up will be determined from the 50 regional finalists. The winner and runners up are selected by photography experts.

Hello 2011

As this new year arrives there are a few things that are for certain...

My faith in God, will carry me through all of the unknown changes that are coming.
My husband, best friend and soul mate will be at my side through this adventure we are on together.
My two sweet babes will make me smile and move my heart more then anything I ever knew possible.

2010... you were one of the most life changing years I have ever had.  I haven't talked about most of those experiences out loud... at least not in a "public" forum... that is not yet. 

It has been a wonderfully blessed year.

One with happiness, laughter, some tears and truly amazing twists and turns. 

2010,
I bid you adieu and will look back only to learn and reflect from what you have taught me.  I will not hold onto you, but I will relish in your memory.

Eclipse at Midnight

I have to give some props to my sweet neice, Holly. Sam and I watched Eclipse last night and so I couldn't help but feel the need to post this after the Premier so many months ago.  Holly is a huge fan of Twilight and finally after years of talking about it I decided to read them.  Well, I was so hooked that I read them all in three weeks.  (There are 4 HUGE books in case you didn't know!)

Well, Holly and Casey (her hubs) and Sam and I went to the midnight showing of Eclipse and it was awesome!!!  Holly even bought this cool shirt for me!

I was super proud of the shirt because it is "Switzerland" meaning I am not on Edward or Jacob's "team".  (I'm not- I love love love Stephanie Meyer- not those silly boys!)  Well, we all thought that "Switzerland" was in referance of not being on a team, but during the movie it came out that BELLA is Switzerland!  Oops!  I guess I am team Bella!  ha!!

 

Christmas Blessings

As the holiday hustle and bustle comes upon us, I take some time to breathe in and just love these moments I am in.  There is no greater blessing then being with my family and enjoying the moments that we share together.  As we celebrate the birth of that sweet baby Jesus, may you all be blessed with what is most important to you.  I am so very humbled and grateful for all that I have and take these moments, these days and this very special time to reflect on that.

My cuties- inside and out!

It was so cool to have Holly do ultrasounds on us all.  She is going to school to become an ultrasound tech and so she brought us in to her school a while back so that she could check us all out.  It was pretty awesome to see Reagan and Trevor cooperate and check out there little organs.  Now I even have ultrasound pics of them to put in the baby books.  How many people get to do that?!  Thanks for bringing us in Holly- it was so fun and you are going to ROCK at your new career!

The BEST Babysitters!

We are so lucky to have some of the best babysitters ever.  One of them took these pictures over the summer and sent them to me the next day.  How awesome is that?!  I love seeing all the fun my babies have while I am working!  It warms my heart so much to know they are cared for and so happy even when I am not there.
  (Playdough... I LOVE playdough and the childhood smell of it!!)

Fun at the Pumpkin Patch!

My sweet friend Sara was so thoughtful and gracious enough to take and edit these photographs of my babe's and I.  We were playing on the bouncy hay area at the Pumpkin Patch and we had so much fun!  Amazing how those kids can jump, and jump, and jump some more and still want you to jump a while longer!  I think we need one of those things in our backyard!

Or maybe not so much...  it was a ball.  We had fun because we made it fun, but honestly--- we missed the balls we had been to with our FE Warren crew.  Babe- I love you and I am glad we could hang out and have a grand 'ole time at the ball!  :)

Happy Birthday Sweet Reagan!

I am absolutely astonished that my sweet little Reagan is already FOUR!!!  How is this even possible?  It seems like only yesterday we were in that wonderful hospital in Ft. Collins, CO watching the Monday night Packer game about ready to welcome her into our world.  Reagan, you have brought more joy and love in our lives then we ever could have imagined.  Thank you for completely blessing us with being YOU!  We love you so much!!!

Abstract Photography

I used to love taking portraits of landscape, macro flowers or other objects and various abstract things.  In the past several years, I have really slowed down in taking these type's of portraits and I am starting back up again.  I love it, and it's about time! 

This is of some rocks at the beach in Fort Bragg, CA at Pudding Beach.  (Beautiful beach!!!)

Our Family!

This January we were able to go to Florida to celebrate the wedding of our nephew Jeff to his beautiful bride Michelle.  We had a great time and the kids loved the wedding.  I love watching kids at weddings- they are in complete admiration of the Bride and can't stop dancing! 

It isn't the best portrait of us, but here we are- all together and happy as pie!  :)

Trev Miester

I love my boy so dearly.  He is sweet, loves to cuddle and also keeps me completely on my toes.  I can't slow down for a second with this little boy, who is ALL BOY!  Goodness how I am blessed! 

This is Trev at a recent trip we took to the beach.  He is now obsessed with the beach and wants to go every day.  He is so his mother's son!  I wish we could go to the beach every day!  (Life is too short to not have beach time, very often!!)

She's Still 3!

I can't believe my sweet girl is going to be 4 in a few short weeks.  I am just going to enjoy this time that we have with her still 3.  She is way too smart and I don't know what I am ever going to do as her knowledge continues to grow and expound... see the problem is- she is already smarter then her Momma!  Yikes!!! 

I asked her the other day what she wanted to be when she "grew up".  I ask her this every week or two- the first time she said a photographer.  YIPEE!  Then that changed pretty quickly and the answer I always get is a Doctor AND a Princess.  That's a good combo if you ask me.  Way to go Reagan!

Computer Camera Fun

One of the things the kids and I love to do is take snapshots of us on the computer.  They love looking that the pics popping up on the computer and they especially love the video's!

Reagan's Logo... further advancements

Our life is super exciting- can't you tell?!  Our fun little logo project is coming along and Reagan has found one that I think is pretty cute.  It's still in the works a little bit and although it is uber pink and girlie I am mostly good with it. 

She has named the Logo:  Princess Aurora. 

Ok, really? 

I keep begging her in different ways to name it something else, but she isn't budging. 

As a Momma, you have to pick and choose your battles.  I am going to have to let this one go.  It doesn't matter anyways, what matters is that Reagan is being creative and doing something that she enjoys and WE can work on it together!
