This is a story of our family life in the House of Daane. Mommy, Daddy, Girl, Boy and two neurotic puppies. A typical American family growing, changing and evolving as we make our way across the country one step at a time.

Oh Goodness- Time OUT!
Ok, I don't know what's going on with my stuff tonight, but I sure don't seem to think all my hard work is paying off. I will need to continue this blogger tomorrow. Who knows if this will even pop-up! I was about to post about Friday, but nothing else...

Friday Nite: PACK ATTACK!!!!!

...Musical intro...Go you Packers Go, Go--Go you Packers Go, Go! This year we'll wim the Superbowl! Go you Packers Go,
GO!!...End musical notes...
We were SO lucky to make it to LAMBEAU FIELD!!! Larry Sam and I went to the Packer pre-season game and we aren't going to talk about the outcome, but I will tell you---we had a GREAT time! (Trix couldn't come, she had a wedding rehursal to play at.) We started out at our old stomping grounds- Brett Favre's Steakhouse- and ran into so many old friends and had a GREAT Wisco meal and a perfect Brandy Old Fashioned (or two).
It was predicted to rain at the game and Trixie tried to prepare us, but I would have nothing to do with it. I didn't want the poncho and the two men decided to follow my lead. We were DRENCHED!!! It was so much fun. What is Lambeau Field without incliment weather?!?!! Even the street musician couldn't be stopped! Afterwards we drove around Green Bay a little bit- we drove past my parents old house and guess what- it isn't the country anymore! One mile away at the corner that used to house cows there is now a SUSHI BAR! How cool is that?
Friday in Wisco

We got to Wisconsin Thursday night then just chilled out on Friday. We had the usual Friday breakfast with the ladies and it was great! (Julie and the girls, Grandma Jeanette, Marsha, Pam and Trix) Emily and Chelsea really love their babies! They had to make sure I could see them. Then Trix, Grandma Jeanette Sam and I went for a little drive around Waupun- we were happy to see so many beautiful parks they are making! The only one missing from my pics is Julie- I am so sorry! Next time for sure!! :)

Rockies vs. Cubbies

Last Sunday we went to Denver with our friends Dave and Aileen to watch the game. Zachary is so cute- he didn't have much interest in the game but give the kid a few years and he will be all over it!! Their neice Heather from Fort Collins came too. Yea- that's Heather next to Sam, not me! Greg- sorry to say it just wasn't the Cubbies day...secretly I was rooting for you though! We had a great time-it reminded me that we need to get down there this year for a football game! (Won't be the PACKERS, but a football game would still be cool...)

Davie again...

David was on his way home from WI and stopped to visit with us again. It was a very nice visit- although we were all exhausted- me...still sick, Sam...work and David...a rootin' tootin' dang good time!!! We tried to watch the 3rd Seinfeld series, but all fell asleep at about 10:3o! Thursday morning Sam made us berry crepes and we all enjoyed a bright sunny day before David had to head back!

Girls Night at Julie's

A week and a half ago we had a girls night at Julies, it was fun--exactly what we needed! She watched Greese for the first time- and probably the last! Maybe you need to grow up watching it to love it like Samantha and I- we sang along to every song! (And I learned about how nasty Greese Lightening really is! WHAT?! I am not naive! Ha!!) Kari kicked back and laughed at us. Lindsey joined us a little late, but better late then never!! Landry is such a good helper with Hudson- you can tell she is a big sis now!! Jack just sat back and watched us all be the crazy women we are- poor kid!
Baby on Board--Not Me!!!

We had a shower for our friend Kim. She is due in three weeks and Kim and Matt sure are excited to meet their little girl! Kim is above left letting go of some baloons for good luck. Julie and Kim above center. Evan and Jack- (Tim & Tammi's and Tony & Kari's) they are 5 days apart. Adoreable little guys- they were so good!! Right- Sam, Donna and part of Jamie! (Sorry Jamie...)

David's Visit

Since I am still playing catch-up... My bro came to visit us two weeks ago while he was passing through to go to Wisconsin for a wedding. He stayed for the evening, then we went out to IHop for breakfast. It was a really nice visit. In fact- he should be passing through again in a couple days so I will get to see my lil' bro again! Yeah!
Hank-O-Hank!

So---I tried to send these photos to my friend Tara and she couldn't get them on the e-mail. Then low and behold I recalled "the blog". So Tara- here they are, he is so adoreable!!! Oh, for all those who don't know Hank, he is a Bugg- a Boston Terrier/ Pug mix. If they had had a girl available Sam andI were going to get one. They didn't :(

Jeff, Holly, Adam and Hannah

Three out of our four Okie nieces and nephews... This is from when Holly went home a few weeks ago to OK to see Mike and Shannon- Hannah and Adam love her so much! The other photo is from when we went to Jeff's re-enlistment into the Navy in San Diego when we went out there several weeks ago. (Shannon sent me the one of Holly, Hannah and Adam. It might have even been taken on Holly's birthday!)
Michelle Lin, Tom and Ryan

I got an e-mail from my sister-in-law Kim the other day- she sent me a photo of Tom and Ryan and our new addition to the fam--Michelle! We will go to WI in a couple weeks to finally meet her- Horray! When Michelle was born Greg told Sam "She is a mini-Kim" and that is just what she is. They look identical!! I can't wait to see her in person!

Landry's 2nd Birthday

After Frontier Day's events were done, we had a birthday to celebrate! Little Landry turned 2. It wa a lot of fun to celebrate with her! Sam wasn't able to be there because he had to work. This left me with some extra time on my hands...time to help Landry enjoy her birthday cake all over herself!! Sorry Tony and Kari- I promise you can get me back some day! (A long time from now!) :)
I forgot about the Homes Tour!!
Our Last Frontier Event for 2005

Sam and I took our doggie doo to the parade on the last Saturday of Frontier Days. It was so hot, but we really enjoyed watching the horses, children and carriages. We missed the first part of the parade, but really enjoyed what we did see. Apparently this parade has the worlds largest number of horses in it. There were TONS of them. Mykah joined them for a while, but they quickly discovered that much to many peoples astonishment, she IS NOT as big as a horse, so was asked to step out of the parade! The photo of the little boy is just a pic of a cute float- his little sign says "help us!" So cute!! Afterwards we walked around downtown for a while. Mykah was so hot, but we found a huge chunk of ice that we let her enjoy. Overall, a great Frontier Day's 2005.
Toby Keith

Well, the fun didn't stop Thursday- Friday night I was invited to be the date of my friend Rhonda to see Toby Keith! We met up with Wendy and had a great time at the Buckle Club where we had dinner and drinks, then continued to the
concert. While at the concert we ran into Bryan and Julie! The concert was great and SO LOUD! Poor Sam- had to stay home and later admitted he really would have like to see Toby. Maybe next year...
