Tickle Me Reagan

So folks, when it rains it pours! I finally have a chance to hop on the 'net to update, so boy am I updating! Daddy titled this one- not sure what I think of it! Anyhow, Enjoy!

Of course we put you to work!

When Sam's parents were here he put his Dad to work, and in turn, Larry put Trix to work! Sam wanted to put in a new light/ vent in our bathroom and when they started working on it guess what- yes that is right- problems!!! Our vent didn't lead anywhere other then the attic! Nice. So Larry and Sam spent quite some time routing a vent outside and doing a bunch of work to get it all working out right. They accomplished the task and we now have a very nicely working vent. Sam and I have spent quite some time re-painting the bathroom and those photo's will come when we are absolutely complete. So far so good!

Grandma and Grandpa Daane!

Reagan had a great visit last week with her G & G Daane from WI! They were here for a long weekend and had a blast with their little granddaughter! It was so nice to see you, thank-you so much for coming!

Thank-you!

Hey Mom and Dad (Grandma and Grandpa Mutkala!) Just wanted to say thank-you for allowing Sam and I to go out on our first date while you were here. We had a great time on our little date. We were thankful to leave our beautiful girl in such good hands!

On another note...I do need to let all my faithful readers know that I am now back into my NORMAL shoes!!! No more croc's for this lady! I can wear almost all my old shoes. I am so happy about this! It was so much fun to go through my shoes and try them all on again. It almost feels like I went shopping and got a bunch of new things! (almost...)

Damn Cold!

(Don't yell at me for saying "damn", Mom- I'm a Mom now, so I am allowed to swear! Hee Hee!)

Am I in Wisconsin?!?! It is so cold here, you would think you were in the Upper Midwest! I think lst I saw the outside temp was -2!! Whoa! Well, I did have to bundle up my little girl and trek out into the bitterness to meet up with Tammi and Kim for lunch. Thanks gals! Reagan and I had a great time! We need to do it more often!

A photo of the cold outside and my Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and sprinkles on top! You might be wondering what type of sprinkles those odd things are- well, they are COWS! Sam and I got them at a little Amish store in WI last time we were there...in the SUMMER!!! I also sprinkled cocoa powder on it thinking it would be a nice touch- one problem- it was bittersweet! Yuck! (**Bunny trail** When David and I were little we thought we would make chocolate milk without asking for help. We found the bittersweet cocoa in the cabinet and went to town- boy were we unpleasantly suprised with the nasty taste of all our hard work!)

Cheers to warmth my friends!
Reagan is all bundled up and snug like a bug in a rug!

Mark and his girlfriend Carrie (sorry if the spelling is wrong!) came to visit us the other night. Thank-you for the wine, it was wonderful to have a glass of wine with friends again! Reagan fell asleep on Mark- good goin' Mark!! :) Lindsey and I met for lunch in Fort Collins earlier this week and had a nice time. It is so nice to not have to be at work! I do say though, my friends are taking much longer lunch times off from work nowthat I am not at work- I think Lindsey and I had a 3 hour lunch and today Tammi, Kim and I had a 2+ hour lunch! I tell you gals- just tell me you have to go, 'cause I'll keep talking! I have no place to be but with my babe, and what a sweet place that is!

Life Couldn't Be Better!

Life is so sweet! Boy do we love our little girl and boy how nuts it is that every one of those cheesy cliche's you hear about prior to having children actually do come true! A few of them being: "You can just stare at them for hours!", "You won't remember what life was like before your children", or countless others! I just love it! Motherhood is great. Tiring, but so wonderful!

The new updates-
*Reagan is now sleeping in her crib in her own room. The photo above is from the first night she did. It just killed me! I want to stay selfish and have her in our room! I miss her so much just being a room away! I feel like she is growing up way too fast! (I am so crazy aren't I?!?!) She is doing so well though, I would be a bad Mom to take her away from such good sleep!
*Reagan is a tiny bit sick. She has a virus in her eyes and nose. Poor baby! She went to the MD yesterday but looks much better today! There isn't anything that can be done for a virus- it is just a cold in the eye, so it will have to run it's course. She doesn't seem to feel bad, so that is the good news!

Well, this is the new info about us, life is good and we just keep plugging away with all the new things that Reagan does on a daily basis! She is more alert all the time and that is so fun to see! She is smiling more now, and I can't wait until she smiles back at us when we smile at her. She has such a beautiful smile and laugh!

Thank-you!

Sam and I, along with Reagan, want to thank some very special people in our lives. We asked my brother David & SIL-to-be Amy and Sam's lifelong friend Terry & his wife Stef to be Reagan's Godparents. Much to our delight, both couples agreed to take on this role. Our wish is that Reagan have strong spiritual role models to lead her through life. Thank-you so much for taking on this role David, Amy, Terry and Stef!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year's everyone! We went to Old Chicago's to watch the Packer game with the Stewart's. We had an awesome dinner and the kids were so funny!

It was a great game- sorry Chicago fan's! Just Kidding- I'm not sorry! Ha! What a great thing for us! I was sad to see Favre's speech at the end. I hope he comes back next year. I am not ready for him to be done. I know this seems strange, but for anyone who grew-up in Green Bay (ok- spent high school in GB and college in WI) Favre is a huge piece of our lives! I thought I was a bit sentimental about this, but checked with a few people about it and they feel the same way, so I know I am not totally nuts! Anyhow, I hope to see you again next season Brett!

It is ironic to look back at the past year and see how things have changed for us. Every year Sam and I go out to dinner on the 1st and write out a list of all the things we want to do over the next year. We have done this ever since we married. I found our list from last year- boy how different things have turned out and boy how happy we are that they did! We couldn't imagine our lives any different then they are today. Sam described our lives very well the other day to a friend. He said- "Once you have your baby, it just feels like this is what life has always been like!" I have heard that before, but it makes so much sense now. I barely remember what life was like before Reagan. The world is a new and beautiful place now, and I am so excited to see what the upcoming year has for us!

Sam and I have big plans with our little girl and the continuance of our family and we hope that you will have only the best of 2007! Cheers my friends, Cheers!

More Christmas

All of us together- how rare to get a photo with the pup's cooperating!Reagan and Grandma M. Christmas Day- check out her cute Christmas p.j.'s!
Reagan and Grandpa M.
This is Christmas Eve- we were asked to be in the Christmas play at church. I was excited to do it, but only for Reagan's sake. I didn't really want to be in the play, but I guess it comes with the territory! Sam was Joseph, I was Mary and our precious Reagan had the honor of being Jesus!
Sam and I have decided that Reagan looks especially beautiful in yellow!

Grandma and Grandpa Mutkala

What a great time Reagan had with G and G Mutkala! They made it here safely by driving- snow, sleet nor hail was going to keep them from seeing their granddaughter! There are some great photo's from some of the fun things we did and I will keep them coming! Thanks Mom and Dad for everything- you are the most amazing parents and I only hope to be as good of a parent to Reagan as you have been to me.
