Trevor

It has been so awesome to have our new little boy home with us! We spent our first full day at home today and it has been WONDERFUL! Will put more pics up when I can. It's taken all day to get these here!

Immediately after Trevor was born.
Mommy , Daddy and TrevorTrevor's first bath. (LOVE the faux hawk they gave him!) (He isn't orange, the pic isn't good.)
Happy Family

Reagan is IN LOVE with being a big sister! She really is. I never could have imagined that she would be so great about having Trevor around! I know there will be good days and trying days, but she is so awesome with him! She hugs and kisses him and wants to sit by him lots, but isn't overpowering around him! It is way too good! Her happy face here is pretty much how she acts around him all the time!

Update on Trevor

We found out tonight that Trevor has a broken clavicle on his left side of his collarbone. Sam saw the bruise and right then the nurse walked in and she suspected that it was broken. They did an x-ray within minutes and sure enough, his collarbone is broken. There isn't much they can do other then give him Tylenol and let it heal. We saw the x-ray and it is the most terrible thing to look at that- to see your baby's little bones in his body and see that there is something not right and that you can only imagine how much pain he must be in. His arm is immobilized and we have to care for him very gingerly. Tomorrow we should know a little more, but we have been told that this is the type of "injury" that has to heal on it's own. I hate that so much for my little boy. I guess his name is holding strong and true...mighty warrior! Keep Trevor in your thoughts and prayers- if you don't mind- and we will keep you posted!

Trevor Kellen

Today we were so bessed to welcome to the world our little baby boy!

Trevor Kellen
25 June 2008 12:28am
21 1/2 inches long
9# 9oz

Wow! We are all doing alright. Very tired, but that isn't something to be suprised about! :) As most of you know, Sam and I have so many "criteria" to naming our babes, and Trevor's name has a very special meaning...

Trevor = prudent, sagacious, wise, discreet
Kellen = mighty warrior

We thought the meaning of the two names together had excellent balance to one another and just loved it!

Our little boy is actually quite a BIG boy! When his BIG SISTER was born, she was the same length but near 3# less! WOW! He is absolutely adorable, beautiful and nothing short of one of God's miracles. We are blessed beyond belief and are so excited!

We don't have a way to get pictures up, but when we go home Thursday or Friday we will do it right away! Now...off to take a cat nap!

Just got yelled at...

By my husband for not updating the blog sooner, so I thought I would do a little something here since our baby boy hasn't joined us yet. The GREAT news...we FINALLY decided on his name! We were ABSOLUTELY clueless until about a week ago, then his first name came to us! Today we finalized his middle name. We THINK! Don't bother asking- you know we won't tell. Reagan knows his name and we keep telling her: "Brother = ______"Tonight before she went to bed she said his name on her own a few times without us even bringing up ANYTHING about brother or names! Oops... hopefully that won't backfire! I could even understand completely what she was saying! Hee Hee! You'll all know in *due* time!

Thought I would throw up a few pictures. I didn't get maternity pictures done, so Sam and I struggled through the whole self timer episode and took a couple. Having a 1 1/2 year old with picture time and then working with a self timer is all too much! :) I think I may try some more, but here are just a couple. They aren't that great, but they mean a lot to us. (I did absolutely no editing to these- just pulled them out of the camera. I should mess around with them a little bit more!)

Happy Father's Day!

I wish a Happy Father's Day to three very important men in my life.

Dad- This is your 30th Father's Day and I thank you so much for everything you have ever done and all the things you continue to do for me. The card that I found for you was so what I wanted to say to you. I look up to you, respect you and admire you. I love you and Thank you for being my Dad. It is even more amazing now that I have Reagan and can watch you with her. She adores you and loves her Grandpa so much! (Picture: Father's Day 2008)

Larry- My dear Father-in-Law. You have always taken me under your wing and made sure to take care of me...stopping for bathroom breaks while on long drives, making sure I had the least burnt brat when Sam burnt them and just making sure I am always comfortable in your home! You are a great Grandpa to Reagan and all your grandkids! (Picture: After the downpour at a Packer game a couple years ago, I have always loved this picture and we had a blast!)
Samuel- You are not only a wonderful father to our little Reagan, but at times to me too! I thank you for taking care of me when I need it, even when I don't think I do, but mostly I just love watching you with our baby girl. I fall in love with you all over again when I see what an amazing father you are to her and will be to our son. We have lots of fun and trying years ahead of us, and I couldn't imagine tackling this thing called parenthood with anyone else! I love you.

Bike Ride

Reagan and Daddy often go on bike rides. I can't wait until I can join them! They have so much fun and Reagan does very well in her carrier! I do have to admit that it scars the daylights out of me! They stay on very safe paths and our neighborhood is completely designed for bikes and has bike paths on the roads as well as trails, so there really isn't a need to worry- it's just a Mom's job!

Welcome Home Jeff!

Jeff recently got home from Afghanistan. We are very proud of you Jeff, as well as all our troops! Thank you for all you do.

Reagan's Amusement Park

We got to hang out with Aunt Rita on her birthday about a week or so ago and Reagan's favorite part was hanging out at the little amusement park! (Jeff and I's favorite part was the lasagna at the little restaurant we ate at!) Happy Birthday Rita!

Yes...I'm huge!

Sam was shampooing our carpet and Reagan went for a ride. How much fun is that?!!

Mother's Day

We had an awesome Mother's Day...my second! We went to the nursery and looked for plants that we couldn't find. Then went out to eat to a yummy yummy yummy Italian restaurant right here in town! Had the most DELICIOUS desserts! Come visit us and we will bring you there! (Tempting enough???)

Mom- I am so happy that we were able to celebrate together! I can't remember the last Mother's Day that we were together for! Thank you for everything you do- not only for me, but for Sam and our little Reagan. (And even Cletus!) I can never say thank you enough, and even the words "Thank you" are too trivial to be everything I mean, but thank you for being my Mom

All of us.
Mom, Reagan and I

Then my fantastic Mother-in-Law that I am rarely able to celebrate holidays with other then in spirit. Thank you for always making me feel right at home when I am with you- even when Sam isn't. Thank you for welcoming me into your family and life with completely open arms. Although we celebrate at a great physical distance- I think of you often!

Congrats Mom and David!

A sincere and slightly late congratulations are in high order for my Mom and Bro. They have worked very hard for a very long time to achieve their Bachelor's degrees. My Mom was attending Pacific Oaks in So Cal (through a satellite program in Sac) and my bro was at Humboldt State in Nor Cal. Wouldn't you know it their graduation ceremony took place on the same date. My Mom decided that she wanted to see my bro walk, so she skipped hers (will do it next year with several other classmates). We went up to Humboldt for a bunch of totally hot weather and a good time at David's graduation. He also had a party that we celebrated the dual achievements at. I will post more pics of everything later, but wanted to get this little spread up here. I don't know what they are laughing about, but it sure looks funny! We are all so proud of both of you, congratulations!

Amy and I

I figured since I don't have any pics of myself from this pregnancy, I needed to get something up here! This is a recent pic...about two weeks old...of my SIL Amy and I at David's graduation party. If you remember, Amy is about 14 weeks preggo now and I am due in TWO WEEKS! Wow! I just can't get over it! I am so excited about our little boy, and I am so excited about David and Amy's baby, too! So many babies...I tell ya!
