Happy Birthday Mom!

BELATED! My Mom's birthday was last week and I am just now getting to plug in a post about her day. Dad got her a WONDERFUL cake- I could eat it for every meal! (Ok, maybe that's a bit much, but it was REALLY good!)
Reagan had a fun time coloring on her home-made birthday card. Reagan really isn't ready to be coloring, but she sure tries! I love the concentration on her face! We are still trying to figure out is she is going to be a lefty- she uses her left hand quite a bit, but also her right. I guess we will have to see!

Mom and Reagan hanging out together outside before dinner.

Also a little happy birthday shout-out to Kim! I miss you and Happy Birthday- belated of course!

Holly and Jeff

Holly (our niece stationed at Beale) and Jeff (our Uncle stationed at Travis) are deployed right now. They are even stationed at the same base in Afghanistan! We are so proud of both of them and pray for their continued strength and safety.

I didn't get a picture of Jeff, but here is Sam, Holly and Reagan before she left. (Isn't she gorgeous?!)

Airplane Ride Home

Well it was going to happen- we had to finally leave WI. Grandma and Grandpa brought us to the airport in Madison and we boarded the plane without a hitch. We had such a great time with the family and are so thankful that we could finally make it back to WI after trying for so many years to be there at Christmas time. The hitch occurred once we got to Chicago. Go figure. We got stuck there for HOURS and almost couldn't get out. 2 problems: O'Hare Airport and United Airlines. I will NEVER fly into O'Hare and never fly United again. (God willing...) I'm not even going to get into all the details about what we went through, but just trust me, it was the biggest mess I have ever had flying. On a WAY better note- doesn't Reagan look absolutely adorable in her little "flight suit"?!

Home Made Mittens are the BEST!

Before we left for Wisconsin we were able to get together with my Aunt Jane who gave Reagan this adorable hat and a set of mittens that she knitted herself! I love the colors in them. I wish they would fit her forever!

The best part of the gift... Aunt Jane left out a hole for Reagan to still suck her thumb! Isn't that clever!

Random Christmas

I love this picture of Sam and his sister Kim. They goof around all the time and I think he had just gotten her out of a head lock. No fair- look at how tiny she is to him! (Better her then me, though!)
Dark and bad picture, but I just had to write about Ryan and his AWESOME nacho's that he made us! He loves to cook and even though we had already eaten a ton, we had to eat all those wonderful nacho's because they were so good!!!
This is such a treat- again, the picture is dark- but this is a table of the new generation! We got together with Sam's high school friends and everyone ---almost everyone--- has begun their own families. It was so nice to see Dawn and Doug, Terri and Stef and Jim and Tif. We got together at Dawn and Doug's- they live about 5 minutes from Sam's parents house. (Missed you Charlie and Liza!!!!!) L-R: Abram, Noah and Sierra. (Reagan was probably crawling around somewhere else.)
Kim and Greg chillin' out watching football.
Reagan, Tom, Ryan and Michelle.

More Christmas Catch-Up

Sam and I lounging on Christmas Day getting ready to open gifts.Reagan amazed at all the presents.
Reagan and her cousins that live in Wisconsin- Tom, Ryan and Michelle
Reagan got a rocking chair from Grandma and Grandpa Daane, although we couldn't bring it back with us. :( We tried so hard to get it into a box that we could put on a plane, but it wouldn't fit in anything that the plane's dimensions would allow. She loved sitting in it though!
Michelle and Kim- you can see Great Grandma Jeanette on the left corner.

This is what we all FELT like later in the day- but the only one's who took a nap were the tiny ones...Michelle bundled up on the couch.
Reagan in the pack and play...check out the cutie cute cute little santa slippers she got! Love 'em!

More Fisher Photo's

Here are just a few more pic's from the family Christmas party. Some of them are not very good from a "technological" standpoint, but the truth is, I liked the images and here they are!

Sam's Dad Larry getting ready to open a present... I was quite stealth like hiding on the steps ready to snap away!
Our Uncle Denny with his white trash elephant exchange soaps. Thanks for the tip on that game Lindsey- it was lots of fun! In fact, the fam didn't think we picked enough "trashy" things and were a little disappointed in us! Note for next year! There were some other crazy things like moth balls, SPAM, hemorrhoid cream.....

Our cute little niece Michelle
Our cousin Mike opening a gag gift of a dancing monkey that was also a nut cracker. Fortunately he got it that it was a joke right away. No explanation necessary! ;)
