Happy 1 1/2 years Reagan!

You know, it's just the little things that make life worth living. Reagan turned 1 1/2 a few days ago, and I am going to do an 18 month shoot for her this week, so there will be some new pictures up, but I just had to tell you all what happened a few minutes ago.

Reagan is with my Mom at this moment, and they called to say hello and Reagan was chatting up a storm. Most of the time it's a word or two and some things that I don't always understand. I mentioned the other day (the day of the water incident) that she said her first sentence. "Here you go." Well, she just said her second... I LOVE MOM! We couldn't believe it! My Mom said: "Tell Mommy by and I love you" and she said "I love Mom!" We wondered how long it would be until she said I love you because she hears it a billion times a day, we thought it would have been said long ago! I am just so thrilled that she said it, though!

Off to head over to my parents home. My Mom is throwing a shower for Cletus and I am so blessed! I can't believe the love and friendship that I have here in California already. With my family, Sam's family and all of our new friends that are starting to trickle into our lives, we are the most blessed people on earth!

Cletus

Sam and I have been working very hard on getting our house in order. There has been so much to do and we are getting rid of so much that it has been hard. Although this house is bigger then our home in Cheyenne, it is very cut and dry. There aren't any of the little nooks and crannies and side rooms that we had before. This means that some furniture, wall hangings, and STUFF just need to go! This is one pic I took of Sam getting Cletus' bed put together. The upstairs is done- so I will post pictures soon if I remember. The downstairs is being worked on and has a ways to go. My studio/ client meeting space will take a while to be completely done because I am still getting my wall hangings created. It's not as fast of a process as I wanted it to be! Until next time...

Fairy Tale Town

Well, my little point and shoot broke, which is a terrible shame, because I use if for "kid" shots all the time. I carry it EVERYWHERE with me! I use it for the video and quick moments so I don't have to carry my BIG camera with me! :) I can't use the LCD screen because it is broken, and the lens sticks when I turn it on. Thus, I didn't notice that these pictures are HALF pictures. I am still TRYING to use it, because I can't carry my professional camera everywhere- especially with all that Reagan and I do and how much I already cart around! Hopefully I will get a new camera soon!

Either way- I went to Fairy Tale Town in Downtown Sac the other day with our friends Staci and Jessica. The kids had a good time playing and hopping on the playground. It was a great time!

Reagan, Rylan and Megan on the train.
TERRIBLE shot- but I knew it would remind me to tell you about the rooster that kept coming right up to Reagan's feet while she was having her snack to eat the scraps! Boy that guy was friendly!

Water, water everywhere!

Reagan is so curious and smart! She is saying new things all the time and doing new things constantly! Today she said her first sentence...that I could understand! She said, "Here you go!" It was awesome!

The video's are unrelated, but they speak for themselves- okay, so maybe I speak for them. Ha Ha! Enjoy- I sure did! The pictures are a preview, but don't give you nearly the story you deserve! Watch on, my friends!

David's 28th Birthday

Along with the rest of the series I have been posting the past couple days, the reason we went to Fort Brag was to visit my lil bro for his birthday. It was a nice trip and we were able to just hang out a lot! Happy Birthday, my dear brother! (LATE!)

Some YUMMY chocolate covered strawberries he got. No sharing, but that's good. If he had, I just might have eaten all of them! ;)

This is Amy and David at one of the fantabulous restaurants that we ate at while we were there,

Sam with Reagan, who clearly is unhappy, while we were at said restaurant. Nice dinners take on a whole new meaning when you bring along a toddler! Everyone took turns leaving the table and walking around outside with her. We did all sit together for a little while, but my little girl is at that age where she wants to see everything and be in the middle of it all! The story behind my sad, sweet girl is that she was running and fell. She was fine, not even any cuts or bruises, but she was so tired at this point and just wanted her bed and A.B. (her term of endearment for her blanket!)

Reagan's Ice Cream

While we were waiting for David and Sam at their diving adventure, Mom, Dad, Reagan and I went to go get ice cream. We got Reagan her own "baby" cone since we all got things she shouldn't have. Not that she should have her very own ice cream, but it was better then chocolate chip mint, coffee and whatever else we had! We let her hold her own and she just LOVED it! We didn't let her eat it all- there was just too much, but look at how happy she is!

In the parlor in her own little chair that fit her just right!Outside trying to take away the ice cream before getting into the car. Look at her laugh!!!
Grandma got it away and got her all cleaned up! I can't believe she still was just laughing away about it!

Abalone Hunting

When we were visiting David and Amy last month for David's birthday, he decided that he and Sam needed to go abalone hunting. They had a successful dive and were able to bring home their allotted numbers of abalone. It was such a nice treat, because a couple days later Sam cooked it up in a recipe that Amy suggested and we enjoyed VERY fresh abalone!

A close up of the abalone. It doesn't look that beautiful...BUT, just wait!
This is at home where Sam preyed off the shell and check out his right hand- look at the inside! This is what Mother of Pearl is made from! Isn't it awesome! In his left hand is the meat. Looks so gross, but tastes so yummy good!

Women Rule!

Sometimes something happens in our lives that is so powerful that you have to take a minute and savor it. I am experiencing this in so many ways in my own life, and found out that a dear friend of mine has much to celebrate herself!

Prior to becoming a full time photographer and while living in Cheyenne, WY I worked with patients who did not have prescription insurance and assisted them in getting their medications free from the pharmaceutical companies. It was a very successful program and we brought in over $10 million dollars in about 3 years! I started the program with absolutely no knowledge of what I was getting into, and never a thought about all of the people I was going to meet that would touch my life in such significant ways.

One outstanding woman I met was Rhonda. She has shared with me that she recently was selected as 1 in 80 out of 3000 applicants in a Women Rule Women’s Leadership Summit sponsored by the O Magazine, American Express, and the White House Project! Congratulations Rhonda and the city of Cheyenne, WY! What a blessing to everyone! Rhonda- you have been making great things happen and more continue coming because of your vision, drive, determination and faith in what God has in store! I am so proud of you and I miss you immensely.

If you want to check out more, she gave this site as a reference. Women Rule.

Beth Turns 30

For my birthday- almost TWO months ago- we went to Claim Jumper. I love that place! I loved turning 30! Dinner with my parents, hubby and daughter were just perfect. (And so was my filet!) I wanted to have a big 'ole party, but since I am CLEARLY pregnant, I kept everything pretty quiet. I decided that since we had a big 30+1 for Sam, I will celebrate my big one then too! So next year, I am envisioning Wine Country...wine...great food...lots of fun! (Yea- the pic is terrible. One of the employees took it...oh well!)

More Easter

This was from another Easter Egg hunt that Reagan went on.

Reagan's Glasses

This was the funniest thing I have seen in the last day- I see lots of funny things living in the house I do! BUT even funnier was when Staci and I were on our way back home today, and we saw Sam riding his bike with Reagan in the bike carrier behind and she had on the "nasses" again holding a water bottle looking like such a little girl! It was so awesome! I wished I had a picture of THAT! Enjoy!

Little Smartie

Sam and I are constantly amazed at the things Reagan does. One afternoon- two months ago--(remember I am behind!) she just grabbed my keys and tried opening the door! Obviously she couldn't reach the handle, so there is a bolt below the handle that she was trying to insert the key into. Now, she reaches the handle and even opens up the door. We have to leave the deadbolt on all the time. Ha! This is just one of those little reminders of how much you need to pay attention to what you teach your children, because they pick up on EVERYTHING!

Easter?! Yes...Easter!

I know I am a little behind, but here are a few pics from the Easter Egg hunt we had with the Mom's Club that I am a member of. Of course it is Reagan and her buddy Rylan who lives around the corner from us. They are way too cute!

I'm Back!

Well folks, I am back and things have been really crazy. Good and not so good...

It seems like when it rains it pours and right now it's pouring! I just wanted to put up a couple images that I found of my animals. (I am working on a dog show I have coming up this week and used not only clients pup's but my own!) We love our animals so much, they were our children before we HAD children! Sophie is crazy as usual, and our Mykah... well, she is having a pretty hard time right now. If you feel inclined, keep her in your prayers. (and Sam and I.)
