The other day I went back...now I will talk about new stuff... I will need to keep posting "blasts from the past" because I have some catching up to do with a few things!
Well, this one is kind of about my work. I don't talk a ton about it on this blog since I have my work blog, but in case you are a "one-blog-looker" and it happens to be this one, I will share here...
I met Pajo- a private fine dining and catering chef- a few months ago- in fact it might even be going on 7 or 8! I do a lot of food photography for him with absolutely amazing creations, but I was able to do a session with he and his family two weeks ago. It was awesome! It's so nice to be able to work with people who exude goodness and positive energy! The best part about having met he and his wife are that we are forming some wonderful friendships. I have the best job- I get to photograph his creations, then eat them! How much better could it get then that? One of my favorite dishes (please forgive the simple terms her...) was one that consisted of bacon ice cream! OMGoodness! It was so perfect...bacon makes everything better!
Here are a couple portraits, but you can check my "work blog" if you want to see some more.
This is a story of our family life in the House of Daane. Mommy, Daddy, Girl, Boy and two neurotic puppies. A typical American family growing, changing and evolving as we make our way across the country one step at a time.

Reminiscing
Thinking about it having been a while since I posted so I started looking through archives of images and last Christmas. I can't resist, I have to add these images to the blog today.
Reagan loved Candy Cane's last Christmas. Other loves of the season were Josh Grobin, Manheim Steamroller (don't know if that's spelled right) and Jason Mraz. She could even pick out songs from the radio... and she had just turned TWO! The girl has good taste...

On the way home from visiting Daddy at work where we tracked Santa on the space satellites Reagan decided to put an apple up her nose. I am SO THANKFUL I was able to get it out. Check out the perspective on how bit that was in that tiny girls nose! Ick.
Trevor slept most of Christmas and Christmas Eve. He was a wee 6 months and not ready for all the action! Of course I had to catch him in the act! My precious lil babe...

Lake Tahoe, Nevada

This was my view of the world the last few days. Sam and I went on our first Marriage Retreat this past weekend at Zephyr Cove in Lake Tahoe on the Nevada side. We are so appreciative of Grandma and Grandpa M who watched the babies (and totally wore them out) so we could have a weekend alone. They went to bed tonight without a peep! (Ok- so what if they go to bed every night without a peep---at least tonight it was a touch easier then normal!)
Anyways- we went to our first marriage retreat and were able to completely focus on each other, be with some wonderful friends, have some good food, take in a GREAT view and learn from absolutely fantastic "presenters". Bill and Pam Farre are the authors of several books including Men Are Like Waffles and Women Are Like Spaghetti. The topic of conversation over the weekend was surrounding the book listed above. I will say this for now (and more to come) BUY IT!!! If you are a young or seasoned couple, it will do nothing but amazing things for you and how to view your other half. Sam and I have been so, so, so blessed to have been able to be there this weekend. I don't really have the words to describe as to how much I appreciate and love my husband, and how perfect the weekend was, but there will be more to come for sure!

Sam's Big Jump
Jumpitty Jump he went...
An Air Force team building activity- jumping out of airplanes! Sam did his big jump with a bunch of his friends this summer and he is totally hooked! The kids and I stayed where we belor- on the ground! We had a blast watching him and my completely non-adventerous soul only had a slight tingle of excitement thinking about doing it myself some day. They I breathed again and the air started flowing and so did the common sense. We have a super cool video that I can't convert into a file that I can put up here, but I will keep trying. I also apologize that these pictures aren't in order, but I can't get blogger to work with me tonight and I am too tired to fight with it. Enjoy the pictures and talk soon!

and thanks to Facebook and my dear friend Andy, I now have a video to share!
