This is a story of our family life in the House of Daane. Mommy, Daddy, Girl, Boy and two neurotic puppies. A typical American family growing, changing and evolving as we make our way across the country one step at a time.

Valentines Day
I never post things about my work up here, but thought I would post this just in case I have any friends or family that are in the area that don't go to my work site and wanted to hop on this band wagon. (It's a pretty good one!) Give me a holler if your interested!

Thank you
Thank you Beth Daane Photography friends. It's silly to be hung up on a number (666) and in my heart of hearts I don't care. The silly part of me does though. I thank my new fans and especially #667 ;) Actually, I am thankful and blessed for ALL of the Beth Daane Photography friends! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Do It- Quick
Someone go do it- I need another fan on the Beth Daane Photography fan page. It's at a bad bad number right now and I'm a freak like that.
Go on...
You can do it! :)

The USO
I do a lot of traveling. As a family, we all do a lot of traveling. It is the nature of the beast when you are married to the military. (or a wife of a man who is!) We don't always feel comfortable using the USO when they are at airports because we feel like there are others who need it more then we do. I have to say, I appreciate them so much and everything they do. It isn't easy to travel with little babes and they fully care for us as though we were their family.
Tonight, we are sitting in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth Airport USO. Our plans for the day have changed quite a bit, and we weren't even supposed to be at this airport today, but we are and I couldn't appreciate it more. We walked through the doors and were handed dinner, homemade banana pudding, Starbucks coffee, movies for the kids, (an awesome new travel toothbrush that I think is super cool) and this list goes on. Oh- and I am using one of their computers to make this post. (No WiFi- but I'm not complaining!!!) We will be here for another half-hour or so, and it's awesome to see all of the men and women that are coming in to get a hot meal and rest. So many are young men who are deploying. (I glanced at the list as I signed us in.) They all make me so proud to be married to a man who sacrifices his life to give back to our country- deployed or not.
I also have to give a little shout-out to the canvas company that I use for my business- Pixel2Canvas. See- they donate a portion of every sale to the charity of your choice and one of the choices is the USO. Guess where I donate.......
Thank you USO's. You keep me a little more sane then I otherwise would be on crazy travel times like these.

Last October

Yes, I said October. I have lots of "catching up" to do on this fine blog of ours. (If you noticed, I had changed the name from "Bethisms" to "House of Daane" but Sam recently said he liked "Bethisms" so I changed it back.) Although this blog is about our family I suppose it is from my point of view- so Bethisms will be just fine.
Ok- so here is a family portrait of us from last Oct. We were pumpkin hunting! (Perhaps I will get those up to, but don't get you hopes up just in case. I don't want to disappoint anyone.)

The Biggest Loser
My friend Sara got me watching The Biggest Loser last season and I have to say I loved it! This year she started a challenge with her friends and I hopped on the wagon. We are supporting one another in making healthy life choices and each have different goals. This is a pic of us from the kick off. We also have a blog- go check us out!
