Sammy's Surgery

Sam had his hand surgery yesterday. Everything went well and he is doing alright. We spent most of the day at United Medical Center- nothing new for me, but new as the wife of a patient! They took very good care of Sam and I both. Dr. Wyatt is his specialist and he is a plastic surgeon- specialty in hands. I even got to see the Ganglion Cyst- gross! Sam was so dissappointed because they were supposed to save it to show him, but they accidentally sent it to biopsy before he was out of the anistesia. I was dissappointed because after his last surgery he was loopy and silly- this time he was normal- I was hoping for the Silly Sammy. After we left the hosptial we went to get his prescriptions filled and bought him some treats- gummy bears, caramello's, flowers and a CD. He is in some pain, but doing pretty well overall. He is in a sling and all wrapped up in a soft cast for the next few weeks, then he will have a brace for the next few weeks after that. Then- back to the norm! It will be a hard time for him though, taking it easy and not using that hand. Let's see how it goes!!!
