Hendrickson Farm

Remember the post about the Hendrickson's? Well we made a stop out to their newly remodled farm and had a good 'ole time! The little cow's you see were only a couple day's old! The tiny one that Sam is touching was born early and is 2 WEEKS old and the other photo's the calves are 2-4 DAYS old! They are soo much bigger! (Kind of like the previous post about the 7 month old baby!) The one little calf escaped and was running all over the farm. They said to just let it run because if they tried to chase it down it's energy would wear THEM out! But if you let it run a while they get tired pretty quickly. Also included are the photo's of the farm dog and one of the kittens. I loved that little kitty! (Until it got spooked and scratched the crud out of my chest- that felt good.) The other photo is of Andy, Neal and Pam. I didn't get a pic of anyone else out there for some reason! I must have been too distracted by all the animals! I learned a lot about farming that day!

Grandma's House

Grandma and Mysterie My cousin Jeff and I
My cousin Shawn and cousin Brian (his Dad)
Mysterie, Grandma, Aunt Loie and I
my cousin Shawn's little 7 month old baby! Yes- 7 months! He was born about 3 months early! So compare that to me... that would be like having this baby 2 weeks ago! Wow! Lucky for him, he and Mom are both healthy now! He was a meer 2# upon birth!

Our stay in LaCrosse with my Grandma was short, but very nice! I was able to visit with a bunch of my family and friends, so the time was put to good use!

Beth and Sophie

I am holding Sophie after her new haircut. I am a little over 26 weeks here. I can't imagine how big I will be in a couple months! Oh my goodness!!!

Exciting Stuff around here! Sophie got her first "good" haircut! Her real first one was a chop job. This one is much better. Doesn't she look cute? Sam loves it- he says she looks more like a dog and less like a dust mop!

WI Trip

Our first night in Wisconsin we spent in LaCrosse. We had so much fun with the Hundt's- my oldest friends whom I consider family. Stacy and Paul- I am so sorry, I can't find the photo's that I took of you anywhere! I will keep looking, I just don't know why they aren't with the others! Anyhow, You will find photo's of Pat sitting on Allen's lap, Kendall with her arms around her little bro Corbin, Tara holding Corbin and Kendra sitting in front of Ryan. Pat wanted Ryan and I to do a "remake" of a photograph of Ryan and I from babyhood- but we REFUSED! You can keep tryig Pat, but I don't think we will be willing! Hee Hee! :)

Of course we HAD to stop! :) It was great and now I am just worried that the baby will continue to crave Raspberry/ Watermelon Sorbet! Hee! Hee!

Sausage Feet Meet Croc's

The time has come...I must cave in and buy some Croc's. I don't say this because I love them and just

didn't want to fall into the popular trend, but rather, I just don't care for them very much. Soon, I think they might be the only shoe I can get on my fat little feet. Sam and I went to a specialty shoe store and they measured my feet and searched the ENTIRE store for something that would fit. I tried on more shoes then I have fingers and toes! I had to beg them to stop because nothing was working!

Prior to pregnancy I wore a size 6 1/2. Currently when I purchase a shoe I am now buying 9 1/2!!! When they measured my shoe at the store, I measured a 6 1/2 EEEEE. Are you kidding me?!?! Needless to say, croc's are in my near future.

Top 5 reasons why you know you have pregnant fat feet:

5. You can't wear pointed toe shoes.

4. You find you can't wear any of your shoes anymore!

3. You have a new understanding of the word: "cankles"

2. Your waitress walks up and say's "Hey! Sausage Toes!!"

and...

1. Croc's are your newest fashion statement.

Landry's Birthday!

Yeah! Landry turned 3! (Last MONTH!!!) We had a really nice time with everyone and I just can't tell you how funny it is to get a bunch of 3 year olds together to laugh and have a blast! Kari made the cake- yes, she MADE that beautiful princess cake! It is so fantastic and it tasted even better! Kari's Mom, Sister and sister's kids were all there from Texas and we had such a nice visit with them. One of these day's I am going to go to Texas with Kari and visit with them all on "their" turf! :)

High School

It isn't a secret to anyone who talks to me that I hated High School. There are a variety of reasons that I won't get into now, but I really did hate it and I don't think you could pay me $1 mill to go back. (I really have spent time contemplating this thought, sad, hugh?)

Aside from that fact that I didn't like high school, I do believe there were some AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL people that I went to high school with. Many of them I didn't spend time with, but now get random updates on or occasionally someone will find me on MySpace and I LOVE IT!!! It is awesome that when we "grow-up" (did that really happen?) we can look past differences or just TAKE THE TIME to say hello. Some of it is because we have new life experiences, sometimes CONFIDENCE! and sometimes just that we got over our own ignorance. For me, I would say that it was a touch of all of those things, but my reasons also stemmed from other ugly stuff. (Can we just say- Boys stink and my daughter will wear a chastity belt until she is 30 and never leave the home?!?! Ha Ha!) Goodnews---I don't think I pissed off anyone enough that I am on a "to kill" list waiting to be crossed off with red lipstick.

I also should add that I went to High School with over 2000 people (I think) and my graduating class was over 400 people (I think). So truly getting to know everyone was a tough thing to do. I wish I had more time...in some respects. Something else I have learned is that it is never too late. Check out my MySpace and you will find some really cool people that I wasn't really friends with in High School, but are extrordinary people. Don't give up on what is possible. My friend Sarah (from H.S.) is how I find out about some of the interesting things going on with my classmates. I have included, below, a couple of the sites she has sent me about people we know. Anyone know of anyone else with interesting tidbits from Preble High School graduating class of 1996, let me know! I also want to tribute a shout out to all classmates, and I wish I were able to make it to the reunion. Unfortuately they don't let huge preggo ladies fly that late in their pregnancy and it is too far for me to drive myself. Have a few beers for me, and go to Titletown and eat the cheesecurds and have a Black and Tan brownie because I am totally craving those things!!!!! (Gotta love N.A. beers!!!)

Click on their names to go to their sites...

Schroerlucke Twins: I was friends with their bother Seth, but never really got to know Sarah and Jenn very well. They have amazingly beautiful voices and you need to check it out!

Mike Joint: Smart man who I talked to but never really got to know well. He is now a teacher and his loving students made this website for him. You just have to love kids!

Dooce

I read this blog pretty often and just have to say- check out this video!!! I wish my two nut-so dogs could do this!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Puppies Get A Bath

Mykah needed a bath and although Sophia is going to be groomed on Sunday, Sam decided she should have a bath tonight. Boy were they dirty! Usually I am the bath giver, but seing as though my belly is too big to bend over and give the dogs good scrubin's, Sam gets to do it! It was Sophie's first bath in the tub and it was funny! Let's just wait to see what she looks like Sunday after her much needed cut!

Happy Belated Birthday Dad!

Last month I went to CA for the weekend on a free buddy pass that my parents neighbor gave me. July 14th was my Pops' Birthday and I went out to celebrate with them! The trip was great, although much too short. I was only there for the weekend---but I will take any time that I can!!! It was so nice to be able to see my parents and to celebrate Dad's Birthday! We spent some time shopping around for baby things, eating out and swimming! My parent's live in a beautiful private community with the most fantastic and relaxing parks, club house and HUGE pool! Yup- that's me floating in the pool, doesn't the shadow look funny!? The pool extends around the corner and has a couple of hot tubs, too. I discovered that I love to swim because I feel so weightless, and God knows I don't feel very weightless right about now!!! The photo of Dad about to take a dive into the pool shows it a bit more of the pool area, but then it wraps around the other corner again! If you want a vacation go visit my parents! (Mom and Dad- you're welcome for volunteering your house for vacations!) Hee Hee! I love the photo of Dad with Birthday cake- and Mom- it just isn't fair that you get so tan! I miss you and I love you both- thanks for everything while I was there!

An Ode To Whitney

An ode to my kitty- my old sick kitty... Whit, we have been through so many years together, I hope there are many more around. Even though you now live in California, and I now have two new furry friends in my home, don't ever think you have been replaced. You are a darn good cat and a great four legged finicky friend.

Bad Beth

I missed a day- yesterday, and no- I am not counting this post as a credit to yesterday or today. I was busy all day with work, then went to the 319th Spouses Club meeting. It was a good time! I picked up Kari and we headed on over to the meeting. We had a smaller group- maybe 6 people, but had great comraderie! I am sad that I will miss next months. I also realized that I will miss next month's big spouses club meeting. They are doing a scavenger hunt- I tried doing a scavenger hunt all year last year when I did all the events and we could never get it to happen. I am glad they are able to do it next year. So to all my WSC buddies- I am not boycotting WSC! I will see you all someday!!! :)

Colorado Rockies Game

Sam and I went to the Rockies vs. Diamondbacks game tonight. We had a lot of fun and they ended up going into extra innings- 18 total to be exact! The AZ Diamondbacks ended up winning. We stayed as long as both of us could- we stayed through inning 13 and into 14. We had lots of fun even though the Rockies didn't pull through! (We aren't really Rockies fans anyways, but it is always nice to have the local team kick it up into high gear!!)

Mount Rushmore

Sam had so much fun hiking with the boys and teaching them how you are supposed to hike safely. They had so much fun! While in South Dakota, everyone went gold panning- it was a must! Unfortunately no one struck it rich. We watched the fireworks over the 4th of July weekend from Mt. Rushmore. If you ever EVER have a chance to do it I would highly recommend making the trek. It is absolutely amazing!

Black Hills, SD

Kim- this ones for you, honey! Trix, Larry, Kim, Greg, Tom, Ryan, Michelle, Sam and I went to Mount Rushmore, Devils Tower, the Badlands and hit up a few other places along the way. (Larry even let me stop at Wall Drug!) We had a good time tooling around that part of the country.
