Sad, Sick and Wrong!

That's what I have to say about the airing tonight of our home on TLC! It's actually pretty comical to Sam and I, but we were completely appalled at the portrayal of the homes in Cheyenne. Especially ours! They really didn't even show much- if you didn't see the show tonight, you didn't miss anything. What they did was show a bunch of nasty houses in Cheyenne, then show ours ONLY from the outside for about 3 seconds and the couple stood in front shaking their heads "No". The ridiculous part of it was that they cut the price of our house by near $90,000 what we were asking for it! WHAT?!? No big deal- it isn't on the market anymore, but WHOA! I knew they were going to falsify information, but I didn't think they would change our asking price (and by SO MUCH!)- that was open information on any Realtor's site , on the internet, etc, etc, etc... You have to be stuck in 1981 to think it was worth that price! We also figured out why they didn't show the inside of our home- it was too nice! I don't mean to be extreme by any means, but our home in comparison to the others was completely in a different ball game. They said they were showing foreclosures and fixer-uppers. Our home isn't either. Oh well! It was an interesting thing to have happened---and I don't think we'll choose to have it happen again! C'est la vie!

Beth,
I think unless you were looking for it ( which we were of course) you would have missed your house..Tim and I watched the show thinking this has NOTHING to do with the Daane's house? It was bizarre...but at least they did not show your house in a negative light....like they did so many of the other houses... I thought that was not right how they would have them walk out of a house and just TRASH it...

CRAZY!

Can't wait to see some pics of the new house!

Hey Beth I agree with Tami, unless you were looking for the house you sure wouldn't know it was yours. I caught the price too and I thought okay that is a bold face lie......heck if you listed it for that it would have sold that day heck probably in less then an hour. I think they had a bunch of houses and probably several different cases and for some reason they went with that couple. Your right though cheyenne sure didn't look like the place to live! Oh well maybe we all need to complain to them! Did you sign a contract?

Don't sweat the small stuff---its a material thing, no reflection of how great you are

Beth,
As soon as they started the show, David and I were both puzzled as to how your house could even fit into the story-line. We were actually releived when they didn't do anything more than show the home in passing. We caught the falsification of the home price right away too. I guess that is how they make their show "good"!
We hope you love your new home and are so excited for you and the new addition to your familiy that you are soon expecting!

Ditto ditto ditto ditto!! Everything everyone else said is exactly what Matt and I kept saying the entire show! All Matt kept saying was how mad he imagined Sam getting! we were shocked to see how they portrayed your house!!! I guess you live and learn but they flat out lied (ditto what Kim said)! How crazy!!!!!!!!!
