Yesterday Sam and I went to my 16 week appointment. I said that as soon as I hit 16 weeks I would start wearing all maternity clothes and not be worried about it. (I was desperately trying to stay into my work slacks...boy was that hard!!!) So, yesterday was the first time I wore maternity slacks to work- so comfy! Mom and Dad- thanks for the shirt- I received lots of compliments!
Everything went great at the apt and we even got to hear the little baby's heartbeat! Only for about 10 seconds, but that was pretty amazing! Sam later said he was sad because he had his hopes up that we would find out if it were a boy or girl. Sorry honey- next time! As most of you know, I didn't really want to know, but Sam does so we will find out. I am starting to get excited about finding out...I think it will make things a little more real! Yeah! Cheer's with my N/A beer (which I LOVE!!!) to 5 more months of great health for baby and me! (And I would also like to say a little cheers that maybe the swelling in my ankles will go down someday- it would be nice to see my ankle bones again...)

OK, not to repeat what Sam and Tammi said, but you do look beautiful!!! I can't believe how fast time is flying!!! Don't worry, you'll be able to see your ankle bones soon....it's all worth it in the end!! :)
